Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. is the movie we are most excited for this summer. This article from /Film highlights 10 cool things that were discovered during the press junket interviews. The most interesting thing I found is the amount of thought and research that James Gunn put into making this sequel stand on its own, and the care he took to be sure it didn’t become a typical formulaic sequel. When a director truly cares for the characters as Gunn seems to, its good bet that it will translate onto the screen for a memorable experience. Gunn also tried to convey the feel of the movie to the cast by playing the soundtrack during the filming process. This kind of “out of the box” thinking is what made the first Guardians movie such a memorable experience. If the early reviews are correct, Vol. 2 shouldn’t disappoint.
